Dr. Courtney Kalmanson

Dr. Courtney Kalmanson is a licensed clinical psychologist, a member of the Victims’ Safe Harbor Foundation Board of Directors, and co-founder of Integrated Minds PLLC, a private practice in Plainfield, Illinois. She provides evidence-based therapy and comprehensive psychological and neuropsychological evaluations for adolescents and adults. Through PSYPACT, she is also authorized to provide telepsychology services in participating states, including Florida.

Dr. Kalmanson earned her Doctor of Psychology and Master of Science in Clinical Psychology from the Florida Institute of Technology, as well as a Master of Science in Clinical/Counseling Psychology from Radford University. She has worked with children, adolescents, adults, and families in residential and inpatient settings, community mental health centers, hospitals, and private practice.

Her clinical work focuses on helping survivors of childhood abuse, sexual abuse, domestic violence, and other traumatic experiences process complex trauma, build resilience, and reclaim a sense of safety and empowerment. Through psychological and neuropsychological evaluations, she also helps clients identify and better understand neurodevelopmental differences, including ADHD and autism spectrum disorder.

During her doctoral training, Dr. Kalmanson served as a counselor and later Associate Director of the Family Learning Program, a specialized sexual abuse treatment program. She has also taught undergraduate psychology courses, including child advocacy, and her doctoral dissertation examined protective factors that may mitigate the relationship between childhood sexual abuse and post-traumatic stress symptoms. Her expertise in child abuse, complex trauma, psychological assessment, and survivor support strengthens VSHF’s mission to educate, empower, and advocate for individuals affected by abuse and violence.
