Allison D. Gordon-Budreau, Esq.

Allison Gordon-Budreau, Esq., serves as Director of Marketing and an Attorney at Victims’ Safe Harbor Foundation (VSHF). She earned her Juris Doctor from Florida International University College of Law and was admitted to The Florida Bar in 2019. Her practice focuses on domestic violence injunctions, dissolution of marriage, paternity, and related complex family law matters.

Before joining VSHF, Allison worked with survivors of domestic violence at Harbor House of Central Florida and assisted self-represented litigants through the Legal Aid Society of the Orange County Bar Association’s Family Law Self Help Center. These experiences gave her a broad understanding of the barriers people may face when navigating the legal system, particularly when trauma, financial limitations, and unequal access to legal representation affect their ability to advocate for themselves.

At VSHF, Allison represents and advises clients in family law matters involving domestic violence, coercive control, abuse after separation, and the use of litigation as a means of continued control. Her work includes legal research and writing, discovery, evidentiary development, trial preparation, legal strategy, and client advocacy. She approaches each matter with careful attention to both the legal issues and the individual circumstances affecting the client.

As Director of Marketing, Allison leads VSHF’s efforts to strengthen its public identity, expand awareness of its services and mission, and communicate complex legal issues in a clear and accessible manner.

For Allison, attending law school and using her degree to help women and children during times of need has long been a raison d’être. Since graduating from law school, she has devoted her legal career to serving people affected by domestic violence, beginning her work in the field at Harbor House of Central Florida and continuing that commitment through her advocacy at VSHF. She values the opportunity to combine legal advocacy with creativity, education, and a deeply personal approach that helps survivors feel heard, understood, and less alone. Allison strives to see each client as a whole person—not simply as another case—and brings warmth, humor, and candor to an area of law that can otherwise feel overwhelming. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, friends, and bonus children, traveling, discovering her next favorite anime or video game, and taking on creative projects that inevitably become much more elaborate than originally planned.
